"Jamie is an extremely relatable and likable character. Her inner ramblings are perceptive and humorous, which wonderfully supports the first-person narrative. She is also independent and readily admits to being a hoarder among other faults. None of her character traits are extreme and leave plenty of room for continued growth throughout the series. And if that weren’t enough to entice chick-lit and women’s fiction reader’s everywhere then wait ‘til you meet Joseph. He’s sensitive, sweet, and just a touch aggressive when he sets sights on something he wants. After a significantly heartfelt first kiss and a few profound moments that occur between these two, I can’t wait to see what happens next. The author has a wonderful capability of evoking all of the reader’s senses in a such subtle way that encourages reading this perfectly paced story in one sitting. A light and easy read, this alternately hilarious and heartwarming story is definitely the start of something good!"

"I loved this sweet contemporary! Jamie and Joseph meet in one of the most awkward and intriguing ways I've ever read, and what evolves is a friendship with all the earmarks of an enduring romance. The Start of Something Good is a delicious taste of things to come from Gracie Lee Rose. I can't wait for the next installment!"
~5 STARS! ~ Margaret Ethridge, author of Commitment
"What a special story! I really enjoyed this one and even had my mother read it (which she loved)! The Start of Something Good was nothing like I expected it to be. Here I had made assumptions about this story and not a single one of them was even close. This story left me with a warm feeling on the inside and a smile on the outside. Gracie Lee Rose (aka Renee Vincent, the award winning author of adult romance novels) created two lovely characters that were easy to relate to and like. There's not a woman alive that wouldn't be able to relate to Jaimie and her disillusion with men, nor can you NOT fall just a little (or a lot in my case) for Joseph. As I said two easy to relate to and very likable characters. If you're looking for something romantic that you can read with your mother, grandmother or if you're a mom, you can read with your daughter, then The Start of Something Good is for you. It makes an excellent gift as well! I am definitely adding the sequels to my "To Read" list."

"The Start of Something Good is big on flirting & sweetness and low on heat so it is a great read to share with a teen, your mom or grandmother. Great little story to share around."

"I've just finished The Start of Something Good. I sure the heck hope that Book 2 is out soon because I don't know that I can wait!! That was one of the best sweet stories that I've had the privilege of reading in a long time. It was really easy to develop an emotional connection with the characters, as well. I love the premise and I can't wait to see how Jaime and Joseph's relationship progresses."
